As a compulsive YA reader I must admit that there is nothing that I l love more than a good swoon, this is a list that never gets boring:
1. Marcus Flutie (Jessica Darling Series–Megan McCafferty), I am not sure he qualifies exactly as bad, he is just different. Marcus is the coolest Ya Boy ever, he is the reason you keep the page turning, unpredictable charming, wicked smart. I wrote a whole post on Marcus: Marcus Flutie: crush analysis
2. Dexter (This Lullaby – Sarah Dessen), quirky, indie-band boy, enthusiastic, easy going, sociable, doesn’t play according to the rules. Possibly the most adorable Ya Boy ever!
3. Dylan (Diary of a Crush Trilogy – Sarra Manning), Do you ever have a feeling that a crush on a boy affected all your teen years and even your adult life? That would be Dylan for me, cool, reserved, selfish, (don’t worry you’ll love him regardless of his flaws).
4. Jonah Griggs (Jellicoe Road – Melina Marchetta) , intense, scary, with a mysterious past. Jonah is ruthless ya Boy with refined commanding skills and the physical power of a rugby player, he has a sharp wit and a sense of humor , he has that kind of intensity that make girls swoon and he is among my favourite male characters.
5. Michael Moscovitz (Princess Diaries – Meg Cabot) , a sweet adorable genius, protective but never a pushover, makes you smile, has a sense of humor.
On Top Of This list there should be Poe (Jamie Orcutt, Secret Society Girl – Diana Peterfreund) but is I am not sure it qualifies as Ya, probably not but he is the BEST.
