More about me (my Emerging Adulthood state of life)

My current state of life can be defined as “Emerging Adulthood” ( a term coined by Jeffrey Arnett, it means that  I am spending my late teens through  mid-twenties in self-focused exploration as I try out different possibilities in love and work).  I wonder if I will ever make it to the other side, if I want to make it to the other side.

Facts:

*  I like smoky obscure clubs, unexpected gigs that take me by surprise, I am really into music, everything really but Pop music (unless it’s The Beatles), currently I am listening to  Curtis Mayfield, The Nationals, Belle and Sebastien, The New Pornographers, Bomb The Music Industry, …

*  As much as I would love daydreaming all day long I am 28 years old and I have a proper corporate job and controversial inner feelings about it, I suppose it pays the bills and I will postpone further decisions.

*  I love to travel. I wish I was fluent in every language

* Every time I read a Ya book I visualize Adrian Grenier starring in the main role regardless of the actual description

*  My favorite writer is Francis Scott Fitzgerald, my second favorite is Milan Kundera

*  English is not my first language

I can totally relate to that! English isn’t my first language either. :P

  4. Daydreaming is important…even with a full time career. I have spent my most delightful days daydreaming and doodling…I just stopped teaching in order to read and sketch and doodle and daydream even more…I would like to stay an emergent adult forever…lovely post…
